On the occasion of Guru Divas, the Chief Minister calls for building a prosperous Odisha through the cooperation of the government, teachers, parents, and alumni.

Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi attended the state-level Teachers’ Day celebration held in Cuttack and paid tribute to former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. On the occasion, the Chief Minister described the role of teachers in nation-building as unparalleled and stated that the government’s primary objective is to bring about a transformative change in the state’s education system through initiatives such as free education from KG to PG and the ‘Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School’ scheme. He also called upon the government, teachers, parents, and alumni to work together through the ‘Panchsakha Shiksha Setu’ initiative to transform every school into an ideal centre of knowledge, values, and creativity, thereby building a strong, prosperous, and self-reliant Odisha.
