Chief Minister Holds High-Level Review Meeting to Find a Permanent Solution to Traffic Problems in Twin Cities

Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has convened a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to find a permanent solution to the transportation problems in the Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, as well as to beautify both cities. The Chief Minister has issued firm directives to departmental officers to immediately repair all dilapidated roads and major traffic junctions in the Twin Cities to make transportation for city residents convenient and safe, along with implementing the smart traffic system more stringently.

In the said meeting, the Chief Minister specifically discussed the construction of an alternative 8-lane expressway for the seamless travel of devotees and tourists heading to Puri via Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, the installation of flyovers at important locations, and the removal of illegal parking. To rejuvenate the Twin Cities and form a traffic jam-free city, Chief Minister has directed the Police Commissionerate, Urban Development, and Housing Department to maintain excellent coordination among themselves and work together collaboratively.
