The Chief Minister attended the ‘National Unity Day’ celebrations held in Bhubaneswar.

Today, on the occasion of 'National Unity Day', participated in the program organized in Bhubaneswar and offered devout homage to the 'Iron Man' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Guided by Sardar Patel's ideal of an undivided India, the historic mistake related to Kashmir was corrected in 2019, and by establishing the 'Statue of Unity' in Kevadia, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji has accorded due respect to Sardar Patel.

On this occasion, I congratulate the indomitable courage and bravery of the Odisha Police engaged in maintaining law and order. Under the guidance of the Hon'ble Prime Minister and the strong leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shahji, through the continuous efforts of our government, Odisha has today become completely Naxal-free, symbolizing which around 1,000 citizens from 19 Naxal-free districts have joined the Unity Nagar Mahamanch. Our robust law and order has today ushered in a new era of extensive investment and industrialization in Odisha.

Our vigilant youth have given a fitting response within the democratic system to the forces and the lurking Naxal mindset that seek to dishonor the Constitution and create anarchy in the country. On commemorating the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, let us all, irrespective of caste and religion, come together and realize the dream of a strong and developed India through the formation of 'Samaridha Odisha'.
