To make the transportation system global and provide better public transport services to the people of the district, 25 state-of-the-art e-buses, built at the cost of ₹ 17 crore, 'Aam Bus' depot has also been inaugurated. Honorable Chief Minister said that this project has proved to be a milestone in the field of not only transportation, but also women empowerment.
Important steps for the progressive development of Keonjhar-
✅ 30 women guides and 2 women drivers are included among 150 people employed in e-bus transportation service
✅Foundation of 62 projects worth ₹705 crores in different parts of the district
✅24 projects built at a cost of around ₹251 crore are dedicated to the public
✅Around ₹375 crore package announced for 101 new projects
Innovative steps like e-bus operations will revolutionize the urban transport system. This service started with the partnership of Nari Shakti will be very helpful for students and laborers. Hon'ble Chief Minister said on this occasion that this e-bus service will help in reducing carbon emission from around 330 to 390 tonnes annually from an environmental point of view. Along with this, the inauguration of the foundation stone and the announced projects will play a strong role in strengthening the infrastructure of the district and making Kendujhar the best developed district, the Hon'ble Chief Minister has also stated.
