Odisha Advances High-Tech Education and Research.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi announced the setting up of a ₹400 crore Centre of Excellence in Semiconductor Materials and Devices at IIIT Bhubaneswar while addressing the valedictory session of Indocrypt 2025. The Centre will boost skilling, research, innovation and industry collaboration in line with India’s National Semiconductor Mission.

The Chief Minister also outlined a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen IIIT Bhubaneswar with new research infrastructure, student facilities, a sports complex and a proposed Centre for e-Governance and Digital Capacity Building, reinforcing Odisha’s commitment to cyber security, digital governance and advanced technology research.
