Chief Minister briefs on the state's economic progress and industrialization following his visit to New Delhi.

Upon returning to Bhubaneswar after a significant two-day visit to New Delhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi briefed the media on the state's comprehensive economic progress and industrialization.

During this visit, he participated in a high-level conference of State Finance Ministers chaired by the Hon’ble Union Finance Minister, where he presented a robust vision regarding the state's agriculture, clean energy, and economic growth. Additionally, he paved the way for the state's development and industrialization by attracting substantial investment for Odisha at the ‘Semicon India 2026’ event.

✅ Investment proposals worth approximately ₹23,600 crore have been received for Odisha through 'Semicon India 2026', which will create over 6,000 new direct employment opportunities.
✅ A world-class semiconductor manufacturing hub, 'Odisha Silicon Valley', will be established on an 870-acre site at Naraj, Cuttack.
✅ A project worth ₹452 crore has been approved in partnership with IIT Bhubaneswar, based on the 'Mine Economy to Mind Economy' approach; the State Government will contribute ₹125 crore to this initiative.
✅ During the summit, one-on-one discussions were held with 18 companies, and Letters of Intent were signed with three organizations, including QuadQuantum. 
✅ Productive discussions were held with delegations from Japan, Sweden, and Taiwan, as well as with leading global technology companies such as Intel, Applied Materials, and Lam Research.
✅ At the conference, the State Finance Minister emphasized the need for joint financing by the Centre and the State for agricultural logistics, cold chain infrastructure, and warehousing.
✅ Emphasis was placed on Viability Gap Funding (VGF) and multilateral partnerships within the energy infrastructure sector to facilitate the transition from conventional energy to clean energy.
