Biography of Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Unveiled; Chief Minister Attends Launch Ceremony
Today, in Bhubaneswar, we had the good fortune to attend the launch event of the book "Vedanta Kesari Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati: Works and Personality," based on the life of the revered Vedanta Kesari Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Ji. Published by the Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Memorial Trust and authored by Shri Bipin Bihari Nand and Shri Banchhanidhi Panda, the launch evening of this invaluable tome was graced by the dignified presence of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's SarkAryavah, the venerable Shri Dattatreya Hosabale Ji; the revered spiritual guru Swami Paramahamsa Prajnanananda Ji; the president of the Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Memorial Trust, the revered Swami Jivan MuktAnanda Ji; along with the esteemed Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Ji and Shri Manasukha Lal Sethia Ji; as well as numerous distinguished saints, intellectuals, and devotees—which rendered this sacred occasion even more glorious. Hindutva is not some complex religious fanaticism; rather, it is the living symbol of India's soul, culture, humanity, patriotism, and sovereignty. The revered Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati Ji was a true sentinel of this eternal consciousness.
The revered Swamiji was not merely a sannyasi; he was a living father, protective shield, and awakened spiritual force for the entire Hindu society, especially for our tribal and forest-dwelling brothers and sisters. Dedicating his entire life to the welfare of forest-dwelling communities, the development of education, cow protection, and the safeguarding of eternal culture, he has created an everlasting ideal for every Indian. In tribute to Swamiji's undying memory and ideals, our government has taken firm steps to name the government medical college and hospital in Phulbani after him, while also supporting the all-round development of the Jaleshpatta Ashram and strengthening its foundational infrastructure. Let us resolve to advance along the path of service, reform, sacrifice, and nationalism shown by Swamiji, in order to build a prosperous, secure, and self-respecting Odisha.
