“Odisha Takes Strong Strides at SEMICON India 2026: Focus on Investment and Global Partnerships in the Semiconductor Ecosystem”
Odisha is strengthening its position in India’s emerging semiconductor ecosystem, with Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi leading high-level industry engagements at SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi. The State’s participation focused on attracting investments, forging global partnerships and building a future-ready semiconductor ecosystem.
✅ ₹23,600 crore worth of investment proposals received, with potential for 6,100 employment opportunities. ✅ Odisha Silicon Valley to be developed across 870 acres at Naraj near Cuttack, bringing Semiconductor, Electronics and IT projects together in an integrated technology hub. ✅ Letter of Intent signed with QuadQuantum for a facility to manufacture SiC substrate wafers. ✅ Industry engagements with Lam Research, Applied Materials, SiCSem, 3D Glass Solutions, Cyient, Linde and HORIBA India, alongside delegations from Japan, Sweden and Taiwan. ✅ Odisha Pavilion showcased the State’s growing semiconductor capabilities through RIR Power, SiCSem, 3DGS and ARF Design, alongside academic semiconductor projects.
