Another new chapter has been added in the field of water management in Odisha. An MoU has been signed between the Central Ministry of Water Energy and the State Government at New Delhi for the purpose of implementing the Water Life Mission 2.0 in Odisha. In this program organized through Avasi, Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi and Hon'ble Central Water Energy Minister Shri C R Paatil in New Delhi and Hon'ble State Minister Shri B. Somanna was present.
According to Water Life Mission 2.0, the state government has prepared a clear roadmap. Honorable Chief Minister said that in this, participation of the public, financial stability and proper maintenance is being given importance through Operation & Maintenance Policy.
✅ Approves the expansion of this mission by the Central Cabinet till 2028
✅ The state government is spending about 40 percent money in this mission.
✅Citizen-centric services have been strengthened through Basudha helpline, WhatsApp services and digital grievance platform
✅ including 2 of these. 21 lakh water conservation and rainwater collection structures, more than 43 thousand reservoirs rehabilitation, 42 thousand groundwater rehabilitation and more than 2 lakh watershed work completed
✅More than 2 crore seedlings have been planted
