Launch of the Fifth Instalment of ‘Subhadra’ on Raksha Purnima, Women’s Empowerment the Ultimate Goal

At a state-level program organized at Lathipada in Nayagarh District on the occasion of Holy Rakshi Purnima, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi launched the fifth installment of the 'Subhadra' scheme and declared that giving women the right to make decisions for themselves by making them socially and economically self-reliant is the real empowerment.

✅ The fifth installment of the Subhadra scheme has been directly transferred to the accounts of more than 1 crore 3 lakh women in the state.
✅ This installment includes more than 2 lakh 33 thousand eligible women beneficiaries from Nayagarh district.
✅ Odisha has become a leader in the entire country by creating 27 lakh 'Lakshapati Didi' ahead of the target.
✅ According to IIM Sambalpur and SBI survey, 80% beneficiaries are investing Subhadra assistance in long-term financial security and establishing enterprises.
✅ Arrangements have been made to provide skill training, guidance, market linkages and financial assistance to women through the Women Entrepreneurship Platform.
✅ A provision of Rs 1,22,764 crore has been made in the state budget for the development and welfare of women.
✅ With the support of the Central Government, the restoration of the Nayagarh sugar mill and the Vurtang irrigation project will be started soon.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that "Subhadra Yojana is not just a program for distributing aid money, but it is a symbol of our government's commitment towards self-reliance and dignified living of half the population of the state. Through Subhadra Yojana, our women have realized their dreams today and have become successful entrepreneurs and a source of inspiration for others. This self-confidence and prosperity of women will be the basis for building a developed and prosperous Odisha in the coming days.
