Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has launched the 'Somnath Swabiman Yatra-2026'.

Today a golden chapter has been recorded in the cultural and spiritual history of Odisha. I flagged off the special train that started towards Lord Somnath's Dham located at Bhubaneswar as part of the historic 'Somnath Swabhiman Yatra-2026' with more than 1100 devotees of Odisha towards the holy Prabhas Patan of Gujarat. This movement is a unique symbol of our deep faith, devotion and cultural pride. Lord Lingaraj in the east and Lord Somnath in the west; These two divine powers have bound the entire India with the formula of unity and indestructible consciousness. The ‘Somnath Swabhiman Yatra-2026’ organised, inspired by the mantra ‘Vikash Bhi, Virasat Bhi’ of the glorious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, commemorates the unique connection between 1000 years of the attack on Somnath Temple and 75 years of its restoration.
In order to establish an unbreakable relationship between Odisha and Somnath, the water of the holy Bindusagar of Ekamra Kshetra and the holy soil of Kedargouri temple have been sent to be offered at the feet of the Lord. Our government has continued its continuous efforts for the protection and spread of the state's asmita, glorious culture and history. Wishing a prosperous and happy journey of all the pilgrims who are involved in the pilgrimage and praying to God for the happiness, peace and prosperity of all the people of Odisha.
