Over 41 lakh farmer families receive the fifth instalment of ‘CM-KISAN’: More than ₹833 crore transferred through DBT
Ahead of the agricultural festival Nuakhai, the Chief Minister has directly transferred more than Rs 833 crore as the fifth installment of CM-KISAN scheme to the bank accounts of more than 41 lakh families through DBT in the 'CM-KISAN' program organized in Bhubaneswar today on the occasion of holy Shri Krishna Janmashtami. This money will be of great help in purchasing essential agricultural inputs for the upcoming Rabi crop. The main objective of the state government is to ensure the social and financial security of farmers by providing a fair price per quintal of paddy under 'Samrudd Kishan Yojana', encouraging allied farming and providing free technical education to the children of farmer families through 'Krishi Vidyanidhi'.
