Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation for the ₹313 crore Maa Tarini Temple redevelopment at Ghatagaon. The project will transform 60 acres with a 216 bed pilgrim rest house, tourist centre, auditorium, food plaza, watch tower, market complex, improved roads, parking facilities and beautified ponds. Major infrastructure projects include a mega steel plant, six lane roads, a ring road in Barbil and new economic zones for the Kendujhar Barbil Joda region.
