Historic MoU signed between IPICOL and IHC Group

Another new chapter in Odisha's industrial development.

Odisha is moving forward towards becoming an industrially prosperous economy under the people's government and attracting global investment. An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the state government's industrial promotion agency (IPICOL) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s renowned business house International Holding Company (IHC Group) for a mega integrated aluminium project. This project, with a huge investment of about 11.5 billion US dollars i.e. about 1.10 lakh crore rupees, will further expand the employment sector in the state.

On this occasion, while participating in the organized program, The Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi said that through this project, bauxite mining operations in Odisha, alumina refining, aluminum smelting, captive power plant, along with the development of downstream aluminum production and infrastructure, will be carried out. From the state's mineral wealth, not just export, but through extensive value addition, industrialization and creation of employment for the youth will be the primary goal of the people's government. Along with this, the people's government is moving forward with the resolve for ‘Prosperous Odisha 2036’ and ‘Developed India 2047’. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Odisha's formation, the government is committed to establishing Odisha as a leading state in the industrial sector by the year 2036, as stated by the Chief Minister.
