Chief Minister Felicitates Indian Men’s and Women’s Hockey Teams for Historic Gold Medal Wins at Asian Games 2026, Awards ₹11 Lakh to Each Player

Chief Minister felicitated the Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams at a grand ceremony at Kalinga Stadium for winning gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games and qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Describing their victories as a matter of pride for the entire nation, he awarded ₹11 lakh to each player and ₹5.50 lakh to each member of the support staff.

Reaffirming his commitment to sports and sportspersons, the Chief Minister stated that Odisha would always remain a steadfast partner in their success and reiterated the Government’s resolve to develop the state into one of the country’s leading sporting capitals.
