Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi and Hon'ble Union Minister of Electronics and IT as well as Railways Shri Ashwini Baishnav have laid the foundation stone for the state-of-the-art glass substrate packaging unit of semiconductor firm 3D Glass Solution established at Info Valley of Khordha district.
Today's foundation stone laying will really bring a huge prosperity to Odisha. The product of glass substrate packaging unit of 3D Glass Solution is the first in the country and it will be made in Odisha. Honorable Union Minister said on this occasion that this technology will be proved as the future of the semiconductor industry.
Today is a memorable moment not only for Odisha, but for India's technological leadership journey. The project will create an advanced 3D glass substrate packaging facility for the first time in the country. Hon'ble Chief Minister said on this occasion that the components produced in this unit will gain importance in developing areas like artificial intelligence, high performance computing and defence electronics.
Odisha will be the launchpad of self-reliant India in Eastern India. The project, which is established with an investment of around 2 thousand crore rupees, will produce 70 thousand glass panels, 50 million assembled units and 13,200 state-of-the-art 3DHI modules annually. This will create around 2,500 jobs in the state. This is the time of golden opportunity for the students and engineers of Odisha. Hon'ble Chief Minister has called upon them to advance in this emerging field by making themselves efficient.
