An MoU was signed between the Department of Science and Technology of the state government and the Ministry of Earth Science of the Union government in the presence of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.

State government will implement 'Marine Special Plan or MSP' with the aim of maintaining balance in coastal economy as well as marine environment in the state. For this reason, in the presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi an MoU has been signed between the Science and Technology Department of the State Government and the Ministry of Earth Science of the Central Government.
Marine Spatial Plan or MSP implementation can improve the blue economy of the state of Hebadwara and also protect the marine environment. Marine ecosystems will be protected with the growth of local coastal economies. Hon'ble Chief Minister said on this occasion that this MSP will create a new benchmark in implementing coordinated coastal and marine plan.
