Odia Ashmita's unique symbol 'Pipili Chandua' has started a golden chapter today in the direction of the growth of industry and the prosperity of local artisans. I am very happy to have laid the foundation stone for the state-of-the-art 'Pipili Chandua Handicraft Hub' at Pipili with an investment of around ₹ 80 crores.
This project will financially empower about 6 thousand artisans and women self-help groups along with the preservation of this invaluable art associated with the culture of Lord Shri Jagannath. Inspired by the Honorable Prime Minister's 'Vocal for Local' mantra, we are determined to connect this traditional industry with the world market and build a 'prosperous and developed Odisha'.
