Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi attended a special program organized in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of 'World Pneumonia Day'.

Today, on the occasion of 'World Veterinary Day', I am very happy to participate in the special program organized at Bhubaneswar. Veterinarians are not just protecting wildlife, they are the true guardians of our food security and public health.
On this occasion, more than 70 new veterinary houses and 4 animal welfare centers have been inaugurated to strengthen the veterinary infrastructure of the state. The agreement has been signed to build 219 new veterinary hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. Steps have also been taken to establish a state-of-the-art molecular laboratory and animal food laboratory at Phulnakhara to accelerate animal sterilization and quality testing of food. Not only livestock, but also for the development of fishermen, the development of Kasia Fish Landing Center and Dhamara Fishing Port has been inaugurated. All these projects of ours will make the farmer and animal-keeper brothers and sisters self-reliant and usher in a new era towards building a 'prosperous and developed Odisha'. Our attempt is to make Odisha a leading state in the field of animal husbandry. The dedication of every veterinarian and animal carer will make this dream come true.
