Government of Odisha wishes to gracefully acknowledge the contributions made by different people, institutions & voluntary organisations from all parts of the country and beyond to the
Odisha Chief Minister's Relief Fund for relief and rehabilitation in vast areas of the State affected by the Super Cyclone and natural calamities the State is subjected to in the recent years. The contributions to this fund enjoy 100% tax exemption under section 80G (2) (iii hf) of the Income-Tax Act 1961. The exemption is valid up to the assessment year 2008-2009 vide letter No. ITO (Tech.) / 80G / R – 46 / 2005 – 2006 / 3361 Dt. 31.10.2005 of the Commissioner of Income Tax, Bhubaneswar.
The fund is operated in accordance with the Income-Tax Act 1961. A Trust Board has been set up to administer the fund. Its deed of declaration specifically stipulates that contributions made for a particular purpose will be spent for that purpose alone and not for any other purpose.
All the contributions to the
Odisha Chief Minister's Relief Fund shall be received in shape of M.O./Bank Draft and Cheque and receipt thereof duly acknowledged by the Chief Minister's Relief Fund Branch of the G.A. Department.
